Bartosz Krakowiak, as a representative of the Association for the Protection of Industrial Property - AIPPI Poland, has been elected Chairman of the newly established Quality Advisory Panel at the Polish Patent Office.
The Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, in connection with the adopted Order of the President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland dated August 8, 2024, launched a pilot program called: “Quality Advisory Panel.”
The purpose of the Panel is to enable civil society organizations to be involved in improving the Office's quality management system by directly contributing to improving the clarity, consistency and predictability of decisions issued by the Office in opposition to trademark applications and in patent invalidation cases.
The Panel's tasks include, in particular:
- analyzing selected final decisions issued by the Office in opposition to trademark applications and in patent invalidity cases;
- Identification of possible discrepancies in the interpretation of regulations;
- identifying areas for which it would be reasonable to develop good practices.
Members of the Quality Advisory Panel were proposed by social organizations.
Bartosz Krakowiak, a member of the Board of Directors of firm, as a representative of Association for the Protection of Industrial Property - AIPPI Poland, has been elected by the other members of the newly established Quality Advisory Panel at the Polish Patent Office as its Chairman.

In addition to Bartosz Krakowiak, the following patent attorneys from POLSERVICE will participate in the work of the Quality Advisory Panel: Marta Kawczyńska - proposed as a representative of the AIPPI Poland, and Magdalena Augustyniak - proposed by Polska Izba Rzeczników Patentowych-PIRP.
