Last week, Kacper Romaniec, patent and trademark attorney of the Trademark and Legal Team at POLSERVICE, participated in a meeting at the Pomeranian Customs and Tax Office in Gdynia regarding procedures for external transit and the import of goods that infringe intellectual property rights.

The discussions covered, among other things, the placing of goods on the market, the inspection of goods, the legal remedies available to rights holders in the case of goods moved under the external transit procedure, and the procedure for small consignments under EU Regulation No. 608/2013. Current issues related to the application of Article 305 of the Industrial Property Law were also presented.

This was a valuable opportunity to learn about the current practices of customs and tax authorities and to exchange experiences on the practical challenges associated with IP protection in international trade.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Pomeranian Customs and Tax Office in Gdynia for the invitation and for organizing the meeting!
