Paweł Wac, Head of Trademark and Legal Team at POLSERVICE, recently attended the 2025 MARQUES 39th Annual Conference in The Hague. The conference brought together intellectual property professionals from around the world to discuss key developments and trends in brand management, trademark law, and international IP strategy.
This year’s conference focused on the theme of brand changes in an international context. Sessions explored the impact of global trade on brand protection, the increasing importance of sustainability in intellectual property practices, and strategies for brand management in mergers and acquisitions as well as how developments in AI technology will affect our day-to-day work. Attendees also examined recent case law from the Court of Justice of the European Union and the EU General Court, providing practical insights for IP professionals.
Looking ahead, POLSERVICE is already preparing for the 40th Annual MARQUES Conference, which will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 22 to 25 September 2026.
