This week, we had the pleasure of attending the meeting “To Inflect or Not to Inflect? Trademarks in Language and Law”, held as part of the “Innovative Conversations of Patent and Trademark Attorneys” series organized by the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys (PIRP). The event focused on issues related to the proper use of trademarks in market communication, including the rules governing their grammatical inflection and the consequences of their incorrect use.
The discussion featured Małgorzata Szymańska-Rybak, Director of the Trademark Department at the Polish Patent Office, and Maciej Makselon, a Polish language expert and literary editor. The meeting was moderated by Anna Kawalec, patent and trademark attorney and Chair of the PIRP Profession Promotion Committee, while the event itself was organized by the Mazovian Branch of PIRP.
We would like to thank the organizers for an inspiring meeting and the opportunity to exchange perspectives. We look forward to following future events held as part of this series.
