Zuzanna Trzcińska

Polish Patent Attorney and professional attorney before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Specializes in the protection of inventions in the fields of materials engineering, bioengineering, mechanics, optics, and computer-implemented inventions. Conducts patent searches, including patentability and freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches. Drafts patent specifications and files patent applications with the Polish Patent Office and under the PCT procedure.

Represents clients throughout patent prosecution, including preparing responses to official communications issued by the Patent Office. Advises on the national and regional phase entry of international patent applications and represents clients in contentious proceedings before the Patent Office and courts in matters relating to patents and utility models. Prepares legal opinions and assesses risks associated with infringement of intellectual property rights and the validity of existing exclusive rights.

Graduated from the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials at the University of Birmingham (UK), with a degree in Biomaterials, and Faculty of Biochemistry at The Ohio State University (USA), with a degree in Biochemistry. Completed postgraduate studies in Intellectual Property Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw.

Gained professional experience as a research and development specialist in the medical devices and products industry and subsequently as an intellectual property specialist at a company developing fiber optic technologies.

Joined POLSERVICE in 2024.
