Marta Kawczyńska

Polish and European Patent Attorney. Professional representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Chair of the Supervisory Board of Polservice Patent and Trademark Attorneys Office.

Specializes in comprehensive services related to the prosecution and maintenance of patents in the fields of biotechnology, genetics, pharmacy and biomedicine, both in the national, regional and international (PCT) procedures, and in matters concerning Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPC).

Graduated from the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology at the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk. Has experience in scientific research work in the field of molecular medicine. Completed post-graduate studies at the Intellectual Property Law Department of the University of Warsaw. Completed European Patent Law Course organized by Centre d'Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle (CEIPI). Participated in PRAKTIKA INTERN in the Patent Search Department and Board of Appeal of the European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich.

In the years 2009-2018 was a member of the Regional Council of the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys. 

Currently holds the following external appointments: Vice-President of the Polish Group of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI); Council Member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi); member of the Union of European Practitioners in Intellectual Property (UNION-IP).
